Maris is known for hitting 61 home runs in 1961, breaking the Major League record set by Babe Ruth 34 years earlier. Roger Maris’ bat was similar in girth to Babe Ruth’s bat, but much lighter. Although light for the times, the bat is much heavier than the pro bats of today. The Roger Maris MW61 vintage replica bat is a great addition to any vintage collection.
